Lindsay Lohan To Guest Star on 'Glee'
Looks like Lindsay Lohan's Saturday Night Live stint has put her back on the map, and on the minds of casting directors. TVLine.com is reporting that the troubled actress has landed a role on America's favorite singing show, Glee!
So, who will Lilo be playing in the award-winning FOX teen comedy?
Lindsay will take on the role that has garnered her the most attention while in Hollywood: herself! Michael Ausiello reports that Lilo will play a celebrity judge at Nationals. Lilo won't be the first actor to star as herself on this celebrity panel. Josh Groban and Olivia Newton-John have also guest starred in this role.
News of Lindsay coming to the show may surprise some Gleeks who remember that the embattled actress was upset over a joke made at her expense when Gwyneth Paltrow came on Glee. While playing a foreign language teacher, Gwyneth said in Spanish, "Lindsay Lohan is totally crazy, right? Repeat... Repeat after me with more energy. Come on!"
Gwyneth's character Holly Holliday later asked, "How many times has Lindsay Lohan been to rehab? Five times. Five." Needless to say, the Mean Girls star and her camp were none too thrilled with the comments. Lindsay's mother Dina Lohan even claimed they were sending a letter to the lawyers of Glee.
Cut to present day, it now looks like all has been resolved and Lindsay will be heading back to the small screen (she had a brief stint on Ugly Betty in 2008). Wonder if she'll break out in song?!
In other Lilo news, the embattled actress may be a free woman in two days. A judge will determine Lindsay's fate on Thursday, and it's looking positive as Lilo has been abiding by the law lately.
What do you think? Is this a Lindsay a good fit for Glee?Entertainment Weekly reports that Whoopi will play New York professor Carmen Tibideaux in a multi-episode arc on Glee.
