Dream Casting 'Fifty Shades of Grey': Who Would Be Right For the Roles? (PHOTOS)
Deadline reports that Universal Pictures and Focus Features have already won the rights to the book and plan to bring the steamy series to its legions of female fans, either via a television series of feature film.
Regardless, armchair critics are already casting the key players, including the lead character: 21-year-old college student, Anastasia Steele, who starts a relationship with wealthy entrepreneur, Christian Grey, who leads her into an S&M deal.

The graphic book started as a Twilight fan fiction. Despite the lack of sparkly vampires, Ana is said to be a re-imagined Bella, while her man Christian Grey is a revamped Edward.

I've never taken any interests in hollywood stars until i read this book. I can't help but imagine Christian Bale as Mr. Grey. He is quite sophisticated, handsome and sexy in such a mysterious way, not to mention his acting skills and personality. He defintely fit the role very well. I look forward to see the movie with a real Christian Grey character an not just some pretty boys who just have the look but no inner soul whatsoever.

Christian Bale is NOT old at all. He can play ANY character convincingly. I'd give an arm and a leg to have play Grey and Anne Hathaway as Anastasia. Look at their names! It match!!!! Cant get enough of these two as Bruce and Selina. Goddamn it. Anastasia char description fits Anne perfectly...eyes too big for her face. They can always make the 2 chars slightly older in the film. But oh well, even if the WHOLE world wants him as Grey, i dont think Christian Bale will take this kind of role. His wife wont let him do it anyway. So even if we beg him, he wont do it. This is too commercial for him (he said no more after Batman) So we'll be LUCKY to have such a talented actor as Grey IF he even agrees. Ian Somerhalder and the rest are good looking, but i dont think they can BE the role...acting chops not there dude. I mean Ian is smouldering, yes, but his acting in VD left much to be desired. The most he can act is always raising his eyebrow and thats about it. Flat lined.

first of all putting Kirsten Stewart as Anastasia Steele in this glorious movie would do injustice since she is already Bella Swan in Twilight. Do you see the way she acts? There is no essence of passion in her acting. In the fourth Twilight movie where she and Edward were in their "honeymoon", she did not ignite strong passion towards Edward as you can see by her facial expressions. Bottom line she always has that awkward face, and Ana Steele has to be an innocent character who is at the same time playful towards Christian Grey. Does Kirsten Stewart fit those qualities? Ask yourselves.

You would know yhst Ian is perfect for this if you are a vampire diaries fan. His acting has the potential for what he can give 50 fans on screen. He is naturally beautiful and has the attitude to fit the role. Definetly a wise choice if they were to cast him as Christian. As far as Anna goes I would love to see Nina D (his real life girlfriend and main girl on vampire diaries) but she is right to say she didn't think it was a good idea and that everyone would be reminded of Damon and Elena on VD. So my vote would be for Lucy Hale as Anna. Her performance on pretty little liars seems that she could pull this off. She can play innocent but she can play naughty too. They are both stunning people.

I have read Master of the Universe before when it was a twilight fan fiction but I haven't bought Fifty Shades book yet. It is a mix of romance, passion, erotica and thriller, and I can't wait for the next update before. As much as E.L James (Icy!) have designed this for the Edward and Bella characters, I can see Matt Bomer as Fifty here. He is hot!
