So let’s talk summer. Spring has sprung, so it’s time to get serious about bathing suit bodies and skin-baring clothes. The first thing to peek out from your shorts is a great pair of legs. Nothing is better for busting cellulite, creating sexy tone, and losing the thigh jiggle than lunges, lunges, lunges – and oh yes, more lunges. Side lunges to front lunges, and mixing in back lunges. Remember to:
• Breathe consistently
• When you land, track your knee in the same direction as your foot
• Try to maintain a 90-degree angle with the front leg
• Do 20 reps on each leg in each direction
• Try a hop to add power when switching sides
If you’re feeling strong and motivated by Beyonce’s post-baby body and her muscular thighs, do another round of 20 in each direction. The great thing about lunges is you’ll get great benefits even if you do them without weights. So, NO EXCUSES – lunge away while watching TV, lunge away while chatting on the phone with your friend.
