She’s dated and canoodled with some of the most eligible men in Hollywood (Brad Pitt, John Mayer, Vince Vaughn), and Jennifer Aniston admits that at age 43, she’s learning from her past relationship woes. In a candid interview with InStyle magazine (released in US earlier this year and just hit UK today), she says that she’s able to be happy with Justin Theroux, 40, thanks to her past.

“Having experienced everything you don’t want in a partner over time, it starts to narrow down to what you actually do want. As I get older, I realize what qualities are important in love, what suits me and what I won’t settle for.”

When asked about the biggest misconception about her, the actress confessed that she’s not a fan of the constant headlines between her, her ex husband Brad, 48, and his current partner Angelina Jolie. “There are so many. I would say the triangle with my ex-husband – and that there’s a feud. It’s a headline that won’t go away – a story that has nothing to do with reality.

Jen and her current beau Justin met on set of their comedy Wanderlust and have been joined at the hip ever since. Recalling their time on set:

“It was one of the most idyllic film experiences I’ve ever had,’ Jennifer reveals. ‘We spent three months together out on a lake, laughing the whole time. We became a family.’

It wouldn’t be InStyle without the magazine asking Jen about her latest style statements, many of which look quite similar to her new beau. She assured the magazine that isn’t intentional, saying of her style, “He has great style – it’s very specific and it has been his style forever. But has it influenced mine? No. I know people say it has – ‘Oh look, you’re dressing alike.’ And I think, ‘No I’m not. I’ve had this jacket for three years!'”
