Melissa Gilbert Suffers Concussion, Whiplash After 'Dancing With the Stars' Performance (VIDEO)
The perils of the Dancing With the Stars ballroom apparently hit Melissa Gilbert hard last night after dancing the Paso Doble with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
According to multiple reports, Melissa was taken to the hospital as a precaution after feeling lightheaded and dizzy.
"She injured herself, and as a precaution she's gone to the hospital to get checked out," host Tom Bergeron told the audience following the incident.
The 47-year-old actress and former star of Little House on the Prairie finally gave fans an update on her Twitter early Tuesday morning, tweeting: "I'm alright. Mild concussion and whiplash. Very soon I will be safely home resting and being taken care of."
"@MaksimC you are my champion. I adore you. @GavinDeGraw bless your heart for carrying me down those stairs!" she added, in a separate tweet.
The results show of Dancing With the Stars airs tonight on ABC.
