Ashley Judd Responds to Nasty 'Puffy Face' Comments: It's 'Hatred Of Women'
She just took it there! Ashley Judd says remarks about her "puffy face" were more than personal digs at her appearance, but an attack on lady-kind in general by a society full of haters.
"I think that it's hatred of women that invites the criticism," she tells NBC Nightly News in an interview that airs Wednesday night. "I think it's the objectification of girls and women and this hyper-sexualization of our society that invites the criticism. It doesn't have anything to do with me, really, and how I look."
In a Daily Beast op-ed, she writes:
"I choose to address it because the conversation was pointedly nasty, gendered, and misogynistic and embodies what all girls and women in our culture, to a greater or lesser degree, endure every day, in ways both outrageous and subtle."The essay clearly touched Miley Cyrus, who tweeted her support to Ashley.

I hope everyone woman reads this. For the record, as Celebuzz reported when the plastic surgery rumors began, the 43-year-old Missing star was on a dose of steroids to treat a sinus infection. As often the case, the medication caused a little bloating.
