Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are finally engaged!

“Yes, it’s confirmed,” Pitt’s manager Cynthia Pett-Dante tells PEOPLE. “It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time.”

A Beverly Hills jeweler named Robert Procop, who is the former CEO of Asprey & Garrard, the British jewelry company to the English royal family, collaborated with the Tree of Life star, 48, to design an engagement ring for the mother of his six children. Angelina, 36, was also seen wearing the gorgeous ring in question during a recent trip to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

A rep for the jeweler said:

“I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt.”

The couple, who have been together since 2005, have been vocal about not wanting to tie the knot until there is marriage equality for all. However, they have spoken out in recent interviews saying that their children wonder why they are not married.

When asked about marriage, Brad recently told THR:

“We’d actually like to and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to do it till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot.And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment. I’m not going to go any further…But to be in love with someone and be raising a family with someone and want to make that commitment and not be able to is ludicrous, just ludicrous.”

This will be Brad’s second marriage, as he was married to Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005, while this will be the Angie’s third marriage. Angelina was married to Jonny Lee Miller from 1996 to 1999 and Billy Bob Thorton from 2000 to 2003.
