New Details Into Angelina Jolie's 'Top Notch' Engagement Ring

Angelina Jolie is one lucky girl! Not only did the Tomb Raider star find herself a keeper in fiance Brad Pitt, but she's also sporting quite the engagement bling these days!

Diamond expert Jason Arasheben, from Jason of Beverly Hills, recently spoke with Celebuzz about Jolie's engagement sparkler. Arasheben, who didn't design the ring but assessed detailed photos of the 36-year-old bride-to-be's new rock, told us that Brad must have put "a lot of thought into the ring."

"My approximation is that the ring is a 4 carat elongated emerald cut center stone with tapering baguettes down the side," Arasheben said. "The value is likely $200,000."

"The tapering band with the special cut baguettes was an amazing and original touch and the diamond color looks top notch."

Brad, 48, and Angelina first sparked engagement rumors when the actress was seen with bling on her wedding ring finger during a recent trip to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for a private viewing of the museum's Chinese galleries.

The ring's designer, Beverly Hills jeweler Robert Procop, later confirmed that he designed the ring with the Tree of Life actor, calling it “a diamond of the finest quality which was then transformed using Pitt’s unique designs, cut with distinctive faceting to a shape and size that perfectly suits Angelina’s long, slender fingers.”

What do you think of Angelina's engagement ring? Is it a perfect fit for the Oscar-winning actress? Tell us in the comments below.
