Pippa Middleton's Friend Points Gun at Photographers, Royal In-Law May Face Arrest (PHOTOS)
Despite having a sister in the royal family, Pippa Middleton, 27, may be facing some legal trouble.
The sister to Kate Middleton, 30, and in-law to Prince William was in the front seat of an Audi convertible in Paris, France on Saturday when the driver pointed a semi-automatic handgun at photographers, Us Weekly is reporting. If the gun is in fact real, the driver -- who has yet to be identified -- could face up to seven years in prison.
Pippa's fashion mogul friend Arthur de Soultrait was in the backseat of the car, and both he and Pippa could be summoned and possibly arrested if it is thought they had something to do with the incident.
"If the evidence points to [Pippa's] involvement, she will be prosecuted. Anybody involved in the illegal use of a handgun in public is liable to arrest and interrogation," a judicial source told Us.
Due to heightened security in France, it is forbidden to use a gun to "warn people off." The judicial source explains, "If someone has a license then for a weapon then it must be kept covered at all times, and away from members of the public."
What do you think? Should Pippa be punished for the driver's actions? Sound off in the comments.
