Robert Pattinson To Star in Saddam Hussein Thriller, ‘Mission: Blacklist’

Robert Pattinson is moving on from Twilight and will be soon be starring in a new psychological thriller, Mission: Blacklist. In the film, he’ll play Eric Maddox, a US army interrogator who played a key role in tracking down Middle East leader Saddam Hussein.

The film is being adapted by Band of Brothers writer/producer Erik Jendresen from Maddox’s book Mission: Black List #1: The Inside Story of the Search for Saddam Hussein — As Told by the Soldier Who Masterminded His Capture, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

So what can R-Pattz fans expect from the film?

“This movie is a gripping, edge of your seat thriller,” producer Ross M. Dinerstein said in a statement. “I have been inspired by Robert and Jean-Stephane’s dedication to tell this story in the most authentic way possible.”

The team will be shopping the movie at the upcoming Cannes Film Market, where Rob will be promoting Cosmopolis.
