Celebs who died before their time.
It’s a sad day for the music world.

Adam Yauch, aka MCA from the popular rap group Beastie Boys, has passed away at the age of 47, TMZ is reporting. In 2009, the rapper was treated for a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node, but after surgery and radiation, it appeared as though he was doing fine.

However, the cause of death is still unknown.

Adam is survived by his wife and daughter.

In 1979, Adam, along with Mike D, Mix Master Mike, and Ad Roc formed the rap group now known as the Beastie Boys. The group has won multiple Grammys and changed the face of rap with songs such as “No Sleep Till Brooklyn,” “Fight For Your Right,” “Intergalatic,” “Sabatoge,” and “License To Ill.”
