Will Smith: I'm Teaching My Son Jaden To Be A Star (EXCLUSIVE)

After taking a four-year acting hiatus, Will Smith is finding some tough competition in Hollywood -- particularly from his son, Jaden Smith.

"Jaden is probably the one of my kids who looks at me like I'm meat," the actor, 43, told Celebuzz at a Men In Black III press preview. "He's like, 'I'm coming for you. You have no idea!' He's looking across the dinner table at me."

How does Will respond to his 13-year-old competitor?

"I tell him all the time, 'Son, listen. I'm going to teach you everything I know. You'll work hard and, y'know, you'll be the second biggest movie star in the world!"

“What's great for me is that the target audience is in my house,” he explained about his other children: Willow, 11, and Trey, 19. “So I get to scene by scene, screenplay by screenplay, run it by the judges.”

However, despite his household name, the former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star admitted he had to ease back into acting after his long break.

"I haven't worked in years, so I wanted to put on some shoes that fit," Smith said of reprising his role of Agent J in the MIB series. "When you stay away from acting for awhile, it's like a muscle. You get out there and you look stupid. You've got to warm up a little bit."

During his break, Will focused on raising his family with wife Jada Pinkett-Smith and, when the time was right, stepped behind the camera to oversee the production of The Karate Kid remake.

As of Spring 2012, Will has five projects in the works in which he's listed as a producer -- most of which either stars himself or Jaden as the lead.

“My most natural lane is producing. I learned a lot of valuable lessons on The Karate Kid. Working on a remake is interesting in that you start with hindsight, so for me that was very informative."
