'It's Sexual and Trashy': Chris Hemsworth Talks 'Fifty Shades of Grey', Whether He'll Play Christian Grey (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)
Having starred in blockbusters Thor, The Avengers and Snow White and the Huntsman, it's no wonder Chris Hemsworth has found his name attached to the highly anticipated big screen adaptation of E.L. James' best-selling novel Fifty Shades of Grey.
When Celebuzz's sat down for an exclusive interview with Hemsworth, 28, we asked if he would be interested in playing Christian Grey, the young and seductive Seattle-based entrepreneur.
The Australian hunk's response:
"Wait a second," Hemsworth laughed.
"This all started because we were in an interview [for The Avengers] and someone said to Chris Evans, 'We heard you're attached and you're going to play (Grey),' and he said, 'Ah, no someone mentioned it to me.'... I was like, 'What is it? I dunno, maybe I'm interested!'"
He has since found out more about the barnstorming book that details the fictional tale of a literature student who gets into an S&M relationship with uber rich businessman Grey.
"I've heard it's some sexual, romantic, trashy -- what is it?" a slight confused Chris asked Celebuzz correspondent Taryn Ryder.
But he added, "I'm not going to say anything because I haven't read the book. I keep kind of getting in trouble for even entering into a conversation about it!"
One thing that Hemsworth -- who last week welcomed a baby daughter, India Rose, his wife Elsa Pataky -- was more than willing to chat about was his character The Huntsman, who is a lost, drunken soul in the beginning of the film.
I enjoyed the transition, I kind of liked the room for error you have sort of with the drunk and mess...he's allowed to be un-liked. There is a sort of risky element, but good! I like the idea of then having to win the audience back or the character back and it's more fun. It's not confined to one thing. That's not all-- Chris talked about his favorite scenes to shoot!
