Amber Portwood Opts For Prison Instead of Drug Treatment
Teen Mom's Amber Portwood is going back to prison, after an unsuccessful attempt at completing a drug rehab program, TMZ reports.
The 20-year-old, who is featured on MTV's hit docu-reality series, was sentenced to five years in jail for drug possession back in January, but the judge gave her a second chance by suggesting she enter herself into a drug rehab program. However, it appears as though that has proved to be too difficult for Amber, who has a 3-year-old daughter Leah with her ex-boyfriend Gary, and has asked the judge to send her back to prison.
Why exactly did Amber decide this fate?
TMZ is reporting that in court on Thursday, Amber admitted that she has not been clean since starting the program to kick her drug habit.
They also said Amber, "couldn't stand the drug court program and wanted out ASAP. Amber's currently on her way to Madison County jail in Indiana, where she'll remain until her sentencing in a few weeks."
