Elton John Released From Hospital After Suffering Respiratory Infection

Elton John had quite a scare on Wednesday, but Celebuzz is happy to report he's on the road to recovery.

The 65-year-old music legend was hospitalized after reportedly suffering a "serious respiratory infection." Elton apparently fell ill during a performance at the The Colosseum in Las Vegas, Nevada.

However, the "Tiny Dancer" singer's rep tells Celebuzz that "he’s out of hospital," and checked into Cedars-Sinai Wednesday morning only to be released that night.

Will the shows go on?

Doctors (according to Us Weekly) have advised that Elton cancel his concerts so that he will have a full recovery.

"Those tests resulted in the attending physician recommending that Elton not perform any concerts for approximately seven days with complete rest and antibiotic treatment to cure his respiratory infection and prevent any damage," his rep told the website.

Elton added in a statement, "It feels strange not to be able to perform these "Million Dollar Piano" concerts at The Colosseum."
