New mom Jessica Simpson is on the fast track to losing the baby weight.

The singer-actress announced via Twitter on Wednesday that she is the new face of Weight Watchers. The tweet read:

"So excited to be a part of the @WeightWatchers family!"
The announcement came after her adorable PEOPLE magazine cover hit newsstands on Wednesday showcasing her and fiance Eric Johnson's newborn daughter, Maxwell Drew.

Of her new outlook on life as a new mom, Simpson added:

"I'm less concerned about how my hair looks or if my gut is showing. My life has completely changed."
Simpson, 31, was at the center of much debate after she gained a great deal of weight during her pregnancy, leading some to suspect that she was having twins.

The Fashion Star was quick to make light of the rumblings, even joking via Twitter about her eye-catching Elle magazine nude cover:

"Last chance to see me 'fat' aka PREGNANT on the cover of Elle."

Other celebs to become spokespeople following pregnancy include Jennifer Hudson (Weight Watchers) and Mariah Carey (Jenny Craig). Weight Watchers commented to Celebuzz about their new partnership with Jessica saying:
"We’re thrilled that Jessica Simpson has chosen to join Weight Watchers to adopt a healthier lifestyle and inspire others to do the same. From the point when we started speaking with Jessica before she became pregnant, to now when she’s had baby Maxwell, Jessica has made clear her commitment to establishing a healthier lifestyle for herself and her family. ... We do not disclose financial details about our relationships with our ambassadors. Jessica is being compensated for her time, but the true benefit is to her health, and that’s invaluable."
