Less than a month after she gave birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson, singer-actress Jessica Simpson has officially introduced her bundle of joy to the world on the cover of this week's PEOPLE.
In the exclusive cover story, the 31-year-old reveals that "life has completely changed" since she and fiance Eric Johnson welcomed Maxwell, on May 1, adding: "From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!"
What else did she say about her new baby?
Of course, being a new mom comes with a heap of new responsibilities -- including nursing, which Jessica tells PEOPLE has become a "full-on job." Jessica also revealed that recovering from her C-section surgery hasn't been easy.
Naturally, though, Jessica is ready to take on the challenge. "It's the worst if I have to pump and give Eric a bottle to give her," she said. "I miss holding her and having that closeness."
On May 1, Jessica gave birth to Maxwell Drew, who weighed in at 9 lbs. 13 oz., and measured 21 3/4 in.
"We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!" the singer-actress-reality TV star said on her website.
After months and months of speculation, Jessica finally confirmed she was pregnant with her first child, on Halloween. In the months that followed, she was very vocal about the highs and lows of pregnancy, at one point admitting to TV host Jimmy Kimmel, “I feel like I have a bowling ball sitting on my hoo-ha!"
