Nick Offerman Wants Zach Galifianakis to Play Ron Swanson's Brother on 'Parks and Recreation' (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)
Brotherly love -- Parks and Recreation style!
Celebuzz caught up with Nick Offerman, who plays meat-loving, mustache-wielding Ron Swanson on NBC's hit show, to talk to him about the show's fifth season and who he wants to stop by Pawnee for a guest spot. Though they've already had some stellar guest stars, including his wife Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) and Paul Rudd (I Love You, Man), Offerman, who is the ambassador for for Budweiser's "Grow One. Save a Million" initiative which helps conserve water, told us he'd love for The Hangover funnyman Zach Galifianakis to play Ron's brother, Don Swanson. Is that not the best idea you've ever heard?
There's also an on-going campaign to get another comedian to play the fictional Indiana town's mayor.
The 41-year-old actor told us that his co-star Amy Poehler, who plays ambitious city council member Leslie Knope, has been trying to get Bill Murray (Ghostbusters, Lost in Translation) to play the aforementioned mayor of Pawnee, Indiana.
If you didn't know, much like his character Ron Swanson, Offerman enjoys doing carpentry. In fact, he brought a canoe he built himself to the shoot! He was also nice enough to take Amanda Hasaka, Celebuzz's on-scene reporter, on a short ride in said canoe. Who else can say they've ridden in a canoe with Ron Swanson himself?
We also chatted about the numerous Internet fansites dedicated to the Ron "F--king" Swanson, and told us which one he likes the most. Any guesses which one?
