Friends Fear for Welfare of ‘Out-of-Control Partying’ Charlie Sheen (EXCLUSIVE)
It’s happening again.
Charlie Sheen has been on a booze and drugs bender since he wrapped his first post-Two and a Half Men gig on May 4, a television version of the 2003 film Anger Management, a friend of the actor told Celebuzz.
The 46-year-old is again partying with a gaggle of adult actresses -- and at one point his troubled ex-wife Brooke Mueller -- at his multi-million dollar Mulholland Estates mansion in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
So out-of-control is the actor that some of his closest confidantes have begged him to seek professional help to treat his addictions.
“Yes, Charlie is partying,” the source told Celebuzz.
“He doesn't want to stop. In his eyes, he thinks, 'I'm having fun, so what?’ The show has wrapped, he’s done. So Charlie is thinking, ‘What's the problem?' But it is a problem... a major problem.”
The source said Sheen is again spending “thousands of dollars" on his vices each day.
He has "alienated his kids and commitments” and is "effectively locking himself up in a house with women,” the insider added.
“Charlie isn’t shy about admitting he is 'partying again,'" said the source, who insisted on speaking to Celebuzz under the condition of anonymity because he/she is a member of the actor's wider circle.
“People at Charlie’s house are all trying to talk sense into him. He needs help, but he wants nothing to do with it. His rage is coming back.”
As Celebuzz was first to report, Mueller, 34, joined Sheen on a four-day binge in early May that drove her back to rehab — a move that could potentially send her to jail.
She even missed spending Mother's Day with the pair's three-year-old twins, Bob and Max, instead choosing to party with her ex.
In a Tweet on May 18, Sheen -- whose new series on FX premieres June 28 -- alluded to his partying: “Done w/#AngerManagement 1st 10… so this weekend will be epic!”
When asked for comment, Sheen, via his rep, told Celebuzz: "Consider the sources."
In the past, Sheen has confessed that his drug of choice is crack cocaine, admitting that he’s done more drugs “than anybody could survive” -- including “banging seven-gram rocks” that would have made “(Frank) Sinatra, (Errol) Flynn, (Mick) Jagger, (Keith) Richards look like droopy-eyed, armless children."
The fresh concern for the welfare of one of Hollywood's most notorious wild men comes a year-and-a-half after he was hospitalized for what his then publicist said were severe abdominal pains.
Prior to being taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Sheen was having a marathon party with up to five women.
Father-of-five Sheen split from his third wife Brooke Mueller in 2010 after he allegedly attached her at knifepoint in Aspen, Colo., on Christmas Day in 2009.
Then the highest paid man on television as the star of Two and a Half Men, he was ordered to complete 30 days in rehab after he pleaded guilty to a felony domestic violence charges in connection with the incident.
Since then, the Golden Globe-winning actor has been involved in a string of scandals, including an alcohol-fuelled binge with adult star Capri Anderson at the Plaza Hotel, which left him in a New York hospital.
NYPD officials said they found Sheen drunk and naked, having badly damaged the hotel suite in a fit of rage.
Sheen was understood to have hired a sobriety coach after the incident.
But after falling of the wagon again, in 2011, CBS and Warner Bros. Television fired him from his $2 million-a-week job after he embarked an erratic media tour.
In May, Sheen told Entertainment Tonight that he regretted being "verbally immature" -- that video is below.
His sobriety has been in question for the past few months after he was spotted on March 9 leaving a Guns N' Roses concert in Hollywood extremely drunk.
