'Real Housewives' Star on Justin Bieber DNA Necklace: Fans Are Offering Me Tons of Money (EXCLUSIVE)
Real Housewives of Vancouver star Mary Zilba isn't ashamed of catching Bieber Fever, since she snagged the very first necklace with cloned sample copies of Justin Bieber’s DNA.
The reality star revealed to Celebuzz that she was given the necklace, which includes a extracted the DNA from a piece of the 18-year-old pop star's hair, for free -- but it has become her new must-have accessory.
“It’s a beautiful necklace and really well designed. It’s really unique," she said, adding that Bieber's fans have been tracking her down to get their hands on the exclusive jewelry.
“I’ve had so many people wanting it. So many young girls are offering me tons of money," Zilba revealed.
A Canadian company just began selling the necklaces for $120 on their Web site, celebritygene.com, and Zilba was snapped wearing the necklace at a screening party for her show. (Celebrity Gene extracted the DNA from a piece of Justin’s hair -- but it is unclear how the company obtained the "Baby" singer's DNA.) The company also sells necklaces with replicated DNA from stars like Marilyn Monroe, Princess Diana and Michael Jackson.
But the real question: Is she a big Bieber fan?
"I’ve been a musician and singer my whole life. I respect him as a musician and artist. If I were a young girl, I’d probably like him too, but at my age, I can only respect him musically. He has done really well for himself," she said.
Although she has reached out to the "Baby" singer, the Housewives star hasn't heard back. However, she did joke that she would be open to working with the 18-year-old pop star, if the opportunity came along.
"Wouldn’t that be great if we did music together?" she said, joking that their age gap could make for the perfect tune, titled “Decades Apart.”
