Former 'Dancing With the Stars' Host Samantha Harris Dishes On Who Should Return for All-Star Season (EXCLUSIVE)
After hosting Dancing With the Stars for seven long seasons, Samantha Harris has a few past contestants she'd like to see return to the show for a final dance-off.
The former DWTS hostess, who recently helped launch the Fruit for All Project to battle childhood hunger in America, spoke with Celebuzz and revealed her top picks for the series' next all-star season.
Who does she think deserves a second chance to win the coveted mirror ball trophy?
"I'd love to see Gilles [Marini]. He was so appealing obviously to the female viewers," Samantha, 38, told Celebuzz of the season 8 finalist. "He's just a lovely man and person. I think it'll be great to see him back on."
"It'll be great to see Mario Lopez back on too. Maybe the two of them could battle it off with their shirts off and make all the lady viewers happy!"
As for the girls, Samantha is hoping fan favorite Sabrina Bryan will return for another round after her shocking elimination after an exceptional run during the show's fifth season.
"Sabrina Bryan had her turn cut short," she said of the singer. "I know she's in Vegas doing a show with dancing so it'll be fantastic and perfect timing to get her back on."
Regardless of who's casted in the all-star lineup, Samantha told us that she has absolutely nothing but respect for any celebrities who are willing to endure a second season of DWTS.
"After having gone through it for those celebrities, I give them so many props if they decide to do it again."
"You can be told how grueling it is, how hard it is on the body, how challenging it to your family life or work life if you have another job at the same time -- but most people get involved without truly getting it until they're in it. These stars have done it. If they want to do it again, mad props to them," she added.
For now, the mom-of-two is keeping busy with her work with Feeding America. Recently, she helped the hunger-fighting organization launch their Fruit for All Project, which will donate one piece of fruit to a family in need every time a Juicy Juice is purchased from now through August 31.
