Lindsay Lohan Exits Hospital After Car Accident (PHOTOS)
Lindsay Lohan is safe and sound.
Following her car accident on Friday, the 25-year-old actress was seen exiting a local hospital in Los Angeles. Sporting dark shades and a baseball cap, the troubled starlet -- who reportedly slammed her black Porsche into an 18-wheeler on the Pacific Coast Highway this morning -- looked to be in good health as she hopped into the back of an awaiting SUV.
Though Lohan may have walked away with little to no injuries, her car was not so lucky.
According to reports, the black Porsche that the Mean Girls star was driving has been completely totalled.
Police said that both Lohan and the other driver showed no signs that they were driving while impaired.
However, this wasn’t Lohan's first involvement in a car accident. In 2005, the actress crashed her Mercedes into another car as she tried to get away from the paparazzi.
In March of this year, she was also accused of hitting a vehicle while trying to leave the Sayers Club in Hollywood.
Lohan — who recently completed her formal probation, which stemmed from multiple DUI arrests and an accusation that she stole a necklace from an area jeweler — is currently in Los Angeles filming the Lifetime TV movie Liz and Dick, in which she plays the late Elizabeth Taylor.
The biopic's executive producer, Larry A. Thompson, recently revealed that Lohan was not supposed to be behind the wheel given her troubled history. The network has provided a driver for Lohan for her commute to set but on Friday, the actress decided to drive herself to work instead.
“When they went to pick her up today, for some reason she decided they (Lohan and her assistant) would get in her own car, so the limousine driver followed them.”
“She wants to work, we are sending her to makeup hoping to resume production and get as much as we can done,” the producer told Deadline.
Celebuzz has also reached out to a rep for the actress and is awaiting comment.
