'Pretty Little Liars' Star Lucy Hale Inks Deal With Hollywood Records
It was announced Tuesday that the 23-year-old Pretty Little Liars actress has signed a record deal with Hollywood Records, which represents a number of other young talent -- such as Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez.
Hale has become known for playing Aria on the hit ABC Family drama, which airs on Tuesdays, but it was actually a reality show signing competition where she got her first big break.

In 2003, Hale was competed on American Juniors, which was a spin-off of American Idol. Watch once of her performances below.
In a statement, Hale said: “I’m overjoyed and honored to become a member of the Hollywood Records family. I’ve admired the careers they’ve made and can’t wait to see how my musical path is paved out. I’d just like to thank Ken Bunt [Executive Vice President of Disney Music Group] and everyone involved for giving me the chance to show a whole different side of myself, which is a huge passion for music.”
Her first album is expected to be released in 2013.
Since she's adding music to her busy schedule, does this mean Hale won't have time on her schedule to possibly play Anastasia Steele in the big screen version of 50 Shades of Grey?
Celebuzz caught up with Hale at the MTV Movie Awards, where she told us she would "freaking" love to play the role. Watch the video below.
