Bethenny Frankel Dedicates Talk Show Episode to Breasts, Reveals Why She Removed Her Implants
Bethenny Frankel's new talk show isn't afraid to touch on taboo topics -- and to prove it she's dedicated an entire episode to boobs.
On the June 15 episode of Bethenny, the former Real Housewives of New York star discusses breast health and the craziest breast products, plus she opens up about getting breast implants and why she ultimately decided to remove them.
Joined by Gretchen Rossi from Real Housewives of Orange County and comedian Loni Love, the 40-year-old mother-of-one broke down the process behind taking her implants out.
Frankel explained why she got the implants in the first place, saying, "I was in high school and probably about 30 pounds heavier, and my boobs used to sag. They were bigger and they were saggy. They would almost touch your stomach, when you feel like it’s hot and sweaty."
"So I had these breasts and then when I got into my late 20’s, early 30’s, I lost weight. I wrote my book Naturally Thin, I lost weight and they were small. They were nice. They were probably like a C, but they were still really saggy. You know when you lay down naked and they’re over here (on either side of you). They’re like cocktails on the side. So my girlfriend said, you should do something."
Frankel says she got them done in order to give them a good lift, but she wasn't happy with the results, noting, "I ended up with a 'D' and I didn’t feel like it was right on me. I felt kind of sloppy. I felt like they were unwieldy and all over the place."
She added, "So then I went again, like a couple of years ago, when I could afford it to get them taken out and then lifted and I did feel much better. If you want to do it, it doesn’t matter if you’re going to have scars. If you want to do it and you can afford it, look into it safely. You have to do what you really want. I’m not a person who would feel good with gigantic breasts."
