Perception is often more important than reality.

Gabriel Macht plays a fearless corporate lawyer on Suits, but during a set visit in Toronto, Canada, he told Celebuzz that Hollywood can be a scary place.

In fact, the 40-year-old revealed that his confidence is just an act.

“There’s this whole Hollywood thing that people have, and that’s just their overconfidence because they’re insecure inside,” he said candidly. “You know, they’re just trying to make it look like they know what they’re doing. So, a lot of it is just a complete act. I’m doing it right now. I’m totally terrified in front of all of you guys."

To prep himself, Macht says it takes a little concentration.

"Right before I go on a set, if I can just feel confident in this, then it really helps,” he added. “It goes a long way. But it’s all bluster, completely just smoke and mirrors. None of it’s the truth.”

Aptly titled, Macht's show Suits offers a great style guide for guys, with high-end wear by Ralph Lauren and Hugo Boss. Looking good certainly inspires confidence.

On Suits, Gabriel plays Harvey Specter, a senior partner at a major law firm who recruits Mike Ross, a troubled young man with a genius brain. They work together to hide Mike’s secret – that he never actually went to law school and faked his degree to work in the field. If uncovered, the truth would spell the end of both their careers.

Mike is played by Patrick J. Adams, who says this coming season will see his character's “love life and personal life come into a little clearer focus.”

Last season ended with his girlfriend finding out he kissed another woman. See a recap of the entire first season and a preview of season two in the video below:

Season two of Suits premieres June 14 on USA at 10/9C.

Love, love, love this show. Season opener was just as good, if not better, than last year. I record every show so I can see them again. Personal insecurity aside, Gabriel is the perfect Harvey! Love him.
