Justin Bieber Performs Live On 'TODAY' for Over 8,000 Fans; Set Includes 'Boyfriend,' 'Baby' (VIDEO)
Bieber Fever dominated the TODAY show Friday morning in Manhattan, where 18-year-old pop phenom Justin Bieber performed a live concert in front of nearly 8,000 screaming fans.
Midway through the second hour of the show, Bieber performed his almost-chart-topping hit, "Boyfriend," during which he got up close and personal with a few lucky fans. He later returned to the stage to perform arguably his most well-known hit, "Baby."

In an interview with anchors Matt Lauer and Ann Curry, Bieber said he was "really excited" to begin his worldwide 'Believe' tour, which kicks off Sept 29, in Glendale, AZ. Despite his success, Bieber admits transitioning from teen star to an adult artist is scary.
"I'm 18 and have a lot of insecurities. At the end of the day, me being in my position doesn't get rid of those insecurities," Bieber said.
Bieber -- who recently performed a free concert in Mexico City, before 300,000 fans -- will release his new album, 'Believe,' on Tuesday, June 19.
During the show, Bieber also launched Lauer's official Twitter. Lauer's Twitter handle (@mlauer) started trending worldwide and the host picked up roughly 34,000 followers in 9 minutes.
At the time of this posting, Lauer had 97,795 followers.
The anchor hopes have 750,000 followers by Tuesday because he made a funny bet with one of the producers. If Lauer reaches that goal, the producer will streak across the newsroom!
Celebuzz was on the scene Thursday afternoon in Rockefeller Center, where we spoke to a few fans waiting on line for Bieber's Friday concert in Manhattan.
"He’s an inspiration to us all to live our dreams and ‘never say never," said 16-year-old Amanda from Brooklyn, who had been first on line with her best friend since Tuesday morning.
