Oprah’s Kardashian Interview: 5 Things We Learned (PHOTOS)

Kim Kardashian: Sneak Peek At Our Interview With Oprah

On Sunday night, Kim Kardashian and her family sat down for in an interview for OWN’s Oprah’s Next Chapter, where the Kardashian family were grilled about everything from Kim's 72-day marriage, to whether Kris Jenner "pimps" her children out.

While the Keeping Up With the Kardashian crew is pretty much an open book, living their lives out on reality TV, Oprah Winfrey dug deep and got the answers their fans (and critics) have been dying to know.

Here are the top five things we learned during the interview.

1. Kim went into a depression following her divorce from New Jersey Nets player, Kris Humphries.

“I was in such a deep depression I thought I was going to back away from it all,” said Kim, 31. “You know when you just have that feeling that he’s the one? When we moved in, I had the feeling he was not the one.”

When Winfrey pressed the reality star about the wedding being a publicity stunt, Kardashian denied the claim.

“If anything, the tough decision to end that relationship was such a risk of losing ratings, losing my fan base, but I had to take that risk for myself,” said Kardashian.

2. Despite the short marriage, Kim has no ill-will toward her ex-husband.

“He’s a good person. I will always have a place in my heart for him. It just wasn’t for me,” said Kim.

3. The Kardashians are not comfortable being thrust into the spotlight.

“I still am not comfortable being famous,” said Kourtney, who is pregnant with her second child to boyfriend Scott Disick.

Oprah retorted: “Nobody would believe the Kardashians aren’t comfortable being famous."

Younger brother Rob swooped in, adding: “I hate the word [celebrity]. Sounds like you’re talking about yourself arrogantly.”

4. The Kardashian clan sticks together -- and love having their mom, Kris Jenner, as their manager.

When asked if Jenner was "pimping out" her children, Kim responded:

"We have to hire a manager, why not hire our mother? No one will fight harder for you than your own mother.”

5. Kim Kardashian, who is dating rapper Kanye West, wants to have kids.

"I want babies. I want my forever, and I want my fairytale," she told Oprah.

"And now I just love that I'm with someone that's a couple years older than me," she referred to her 35-year-old beau. "For what I've been through I am that changed person, just from my own experiences."

Next Sunday night, June 24, OWN will air the second part of the interview, which will feature Kim’s candid comments about her relationship with Kanye West and sit-down interviews with Khloe and her husband, Lamar Odom, as well as Kourtney and her boyfriend Scott.

I am a bit shocke that Oprah wanted to indulge the Kardashian clan. Perhaps she is more like them than I thought.... Enough of the over-indulgent, self-absorbed reality stars!

Lost respect for Oprah for doing this interview. These people shouldn't be given a platform -- they are all over the place anyway! This can't bode well for the OWN network and I was really hoping to see it succeed, now I kinda don't care. :(

I am glad they make u grow as a person. but, the problem is you should have already had some value in place . it amazes me how people think they can relate to the kardashian family they are truely a different bred of people and i am so thankful I was taught abt all this from my mother and father, that is the formative years . yeah they are together but it is entertainment, ratings, and money and that is the real deal.

Wow i love how this family is so together. Thier mom is nt pimping Them out she is doing a job that any manager would do. I truly believe the Kardashians r gifted people and they r as normal as any other person in this world i watch the show and always wish Them the best ... You guys really know how to open other peoples eyes to how a real family is ,love, strength, honesty, trust and loyalty... They may have arguments but at the end of the day they show us forgiveness is the key to a brighter future. Im not saying i want to live their life but i would honestly would love to have the bond they have with each other.... KARDASHIANS u guys ur family is a true insperation.... Truly blessed to have your family live on tv each day it mends and maks me grow at a person... ...

Everything that every single one of them says is completely scripted. If Oprah was actually being a tough interviewer, she'd follow up on most of those issues with contradictory evidence.

pimpmom does pimp them out for fame & fortune, their over exposure is starting to hurt them really bad, all you have to do is look at the huge drop in the ratings, lawsuits, fans. That was the smartest thing Rob ever said! I'd never put another person up on a pedestal like some young girls do with this family, never! You start to lose focus when you have that mentality of - "i wish I was them, "I love them", etc...(you dont really even know them)
