‘People Like Us’ Star Michelle Pfeiffer Can’t Wait For Anne Hathaway As Catwoman in ‘Dark Knight Rises’
Michelle Pfeiffer stars in this summer’s feel-good family drams People Like Us, due out June 29. And on the heels of her own new movie’s release, Pfeiffer will watch Anne Hathaway reprise her iconic role as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises.
“I think she’s going to be terrific, I can’t wait to see it,” Michelle told Celebuzz. “I’ve loved every Catwoman played by everyone. I’m a huge fan of hers, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what she does– and how she wields that whip!”
But don’t expect Michelle to watch herself as Catwoman anytime soon:
Pfeiffer, 54, told Celebuzz she doesn’t like to watch her own onscreen performances.
“I can’t change the channel fast enough,” Michelle told us. “I just don’t like watching myself.”
So odds are Pfieffer won’t be headed to the theater to watch herself in the aforementioned People Like Us in which she plays Chris Pine’s mother.
“You better be on your toes when you are working with Chris because he just comes at it full steam ahead,” Michelle said about the Star Trek actor. “He’s so prepared.”
Pfeiffer was full of compliments for her onscreen son and even said Pine reminded her of another veteran movie star whom she worked with previously.
I remember when I worked with Sean Connery– When Sean Connery walked into a room there was just this presence about him, and Chris has that. He knows his craft, he just doesn’t kind of mumble the lines. He’s really thoughtful, he’s really smart about it, he knows exactly what he’s doing. He can do anything– drama, comedy.
