The first part of Justin Bieber’s All Around The World documentary gave fans an intimate glimpse of the 18-year-old’s life when it aired on NBC last  night. Cameras followed the “Believe” singer — who’s sold 15 million albums thus far — as he traveled through an astonishing 19 cities in seven countries, all within 12 days!

From meeting Katy Perry to hanging with his biggest fans — and even experiencing a bad hair day — Bieber lives an action-packed life under the spotlight.

What did we learn about the singer from his documentary?

1. Bieber gets claustrophobic.

The star showed a vulnerable side when he got stuck in an elevator at a concert venue. “I nearly just died, guys!” he joked.

2. He loves female attention.

The crew was there when Bieber touched down in Oslo, Norway, where Hordes of girls descended upon his hotel and overwhelmed police security. Then, in Mexico City, more than 300,000 people turned out for a free concert.

“I’m guess I’m cool with being a heartthrob. I’m 18. Having a lot of girls liking me is not a bad thing,” Justin said.

3. Even Bieber has bad hair days.

During one scene, the pop star displayed a little vanity, joking “I hate my hair,” as he looks in a mirror. Of course, his stylist slapped some sense into him and they joked about the incident.

4. He has a few pre-show rituals.

One of them is doing pushups. In addition, his tight-knit family and crew do a chant of “ducks, ducks, ducks, ducks, quack, quack, quack, quack” — from the 1992 movie The Mighty Ducks — before he takes the stage.

5. Justin can sing — in French!

While in Paris, the heartthrob went on his hotel balcony to sing “One Less Lonely Girl” in the romantic language!
