'Fashion Police' Host Joan Rivers Makes Crude Joke About Jerry Sandusky (VIDEO)
Is this a case of bad timing for Joan Rivers?
On Friday, the 79-year-old comedian made a crack at retired football coach and convicted child sex offender Jerry Sandusky on her show, Fashion Police, following the verdict in his sexual abuse case.
During the same day, Sandusky was found guilty on 45 out of 48 counts -- both felonies and misdemeanors -- of sexual abuse. The former Penn State assistant coach will face 442 years in prison if he is sentenced to the maximum on all charges.
While critiquing an embellished Valentino dress worn by Keira Knightley at the premiere of Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, Rivers commented that the gown was “busier than Sandusky backstage at the Kids' Choice Awards.”
Rivers was unapologetic with her remark, adding, "I love Valentino, but I have not seen anything that brown and shapeless since I took Oprah Winfrey bathing suit shopping."
