This week, we take a closer look at Liam Hemsworth in The Expendables 2. Despite his appearance in The Hunger Games, it will actually be the first time audiences see him in a fast-paced action role. No more sitting on the sidelines!

Liam, 22, joins the cast after reportedly being cut from the first movie.

Hemsworth, who is engaged to 19-year-old Miley Cyrus, told the Sunday Herald Sun in 2010 that his role was ultimately dropped from the first film because there were too many characters, but that he was thrilled just to have been offered the part by big screen idol Sylvester Stallone, the man behind the project.

This time around, Stallone found a place for the breakout Hollywood heartthrob.

He joins the ranks of returning stars Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In part two of the popular action franchise, the gang goes on a revenge mission after one of their own is killed in action.
