'So You Think You Can Dance's' Mary Murphy Reveals Her Dream Guest Judges (VIDEO)
So You Think You Can Dance hit a milestone on Wednesday with its 200th episode and Celebuzz chatted with judge Mary Murphy about the special occasion.
Though the hit Fox show is on the same network as singing competitions American Idol and The X Factor, we asked Murphy, who co-judges with Nigel Lythgoe, how she thinks the dancing competition has managed to stay fresh and original over the span of 200 episodes.
"The fact that we rotate a judge, that helps not only keep it fresh for the audience, but it keeps it fresh for me and Nigel, too. Me and Nigel are like an old married couple by now," she says.
She also adds, "The fact that we constantly introduced new dance styles and new choreographers, trying to find a new voice and flavor keeps the show fresh."
Who's Murphy's dream guest judges?
On the 200th episode, they had New Girl star Zooey Deschanel as a guest judge, but Murphy told us that she would "love" for Madonna, Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake to all make appearances on the show.
We also asked Murphy what advice she would give them. "The fact is, just be themselves and talk from their hearts," she says. "Because all those people are the ultimate professionals and they can dance."
