Adele Pregnant: Singer Announces She and Boyfriend Simon Konecki Expecting First Child
On Friday, the "Rolling in the Deep" singer made the announcement on her site. Adele, 24, wrote:
Im delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx
Adele -- whose real name is Adele Adkins -- and Life Water founder Konecki, 36, made their first public appearance in January 2012 when the couple were snapped leaving Sid Owen‘s 40th Birthday Party at Gilgamesh Restaurant in Camden.

Adele personally took it to her blog to shoot down engagement reports, writing:
This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon. Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for 4 years. Everyone in our lives separately and together wish us nothing but the best, and vice versa. These are the facts. Take care and see you all in February xx.This will be the first child for both Adele and the second from Konecki, who already has a 5-year-old daughter from his previous marriage.

Not to be rude to Adele or Simon, but clearly the pregnancy was not planned. So no, they are not going to just get married before she gets pregnant. And no, she should not just get married because she is pregnant. Everyone should just be happy that she is happy with her life and her pregnancy. The rest does not matter.

It's the 21st century not the 18th, nowadays to have a child you don't have to sign a couple of pappers, you can actually move in, share your money, have your and your boyfriend's family together for christmas and HAVE A CHILD, without that need of a marriage... You sound like my grandma talking... It's not marriage that starts a family, it's your COMMITMENT no matter if you decided to sign a couple of pappers and have a lavish party or not... if you're a kid grow up, if you're 50 years old, I somewhat understand you due to the generation gap!
Why not get married before having a baby? Is it because the man is too big of a wimp to get married, or is the love he professes just a ruse to bed a famous singer? I'm very suspicious of the motives of people who do not get married before committing to children. Not to mention, it's simply the right thing to do, to get married first.
