‘Dallas’ Renewed for Second Season; Charlie Sheen’s ‘Anger Management’ Ratings Are Winning
While critics pretty much panned Charlie Sheen’s Anger Management, a record-breaking number of viewers clearly wanted to see the actor’s post-Two and a Half Men gig for themselves. Thursday’s premiere was the most-watched scripted comedy primetime series premiere in cable history. It attracted 5.74 million total viewers and 2.65 million viewers with the ad-coveted adults 18-49 audience. Will the winning streak continue next week? [FX]

MTV isn’t feeling shy about sharing Awkward’s second season premiere ratings. 2.2 million viewers watched the series return on Thursday and it saw increases among the network’s younger-skewing 12-34 demo. It was also the No. 1 original series for the day, beating both cable and broadcast programming. [MTV]
