Former American Idol contestant Kellie Pickler is spilling the beans on her marriage since eloping with beau Kyle Jacobs.

In 2011, Pickler, 26, quietly got hitched to her boyfriend of three years in Caribbean. Now, with a year and a half of marriage under her belt, the country singer says things are going as strong as ever.

“We are doing really great,” she told Celebuzz. “He’s my best friend, and I got a good man. So, I think I’ll keep him!”

However, her marriage isn’t the only thing that’s keeping her on her toes these days.

“I’m usually on the road all year,” she explained. “We’ll book as many shows as we can a year. I love being on the road. I love touring. I love being on my bus. It’s my sanctuary.”

“I have new songs to sing, which is great, and I’m already working on new music and writing,” she added. “I cant wait to get the new stuff out as well. Busy, busy, busy!”

Busy, indeed! Pickler also recently teamed with ConAgra Foods Foundation’s Hunger-Free Summer program in an effort to reduce child hunger in America.

“A lot of people don’t realize this, or think about it, but so many kids rely solely on their school for their meals — for breakfast and lunch, because that’s provided at the schools,” she said. “But on weekends and after school — and especially during the summer — that’s when they have to really, really worry about whether or not they get a meal.”

The interactive partnership, which began on June 26, encourages citizens to log onto ConAgra Foods’ Facebook page and download their free children’s activity book. For every booklet that is downloaded, ConAgra Foods will match that with a free meal for a child.

“That is unacceptable,” she said of child hunger. “There is no reason in the world we can’t all come together and fix this issue.”
