After Bravo recently swatted down reports that she will return to The Real Housewives of New York, ousted castmember Jill Zarin is making good on her promise to return to TV. The fabrics queen announced on Thursday that she’s joining ABC’s Good Morning America spinoff, Good Afternoon America.

“I want to share some great news,” Zarin, 48, writes on her blog. ‘’Hollywood called’ again. Well not exactly…it was a producer from GMA. I was asked to be a special correspondent on a new afternoon show on ABC called Good AFTERNOON America, that will air live from Times Square daily.”

What’s the former Bravo star doing for Good Afternoon America?

According to Zarin, she’ll serve as a special correspondent on reality shows for the new program and will appear weekly starting July 11.

“It is part time and yet still gives me an opportunity to talk to all of you every week and keep it real,” she says. “I love that I am ‘LIVE’… you never know what I will come up with right?”

While the reality star says she’ll be a permanent fixture on the new program, an ABC spokesperson tells Celebuzz that the network can only confirm she’ll appear next week and it’s “excited to have her on.”

Good Afternoon America is a one-hour extension of GMA anchored by Josh Elliott and Lara Spencer airing from 2-3 PM. Sam Champion, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos will also make special appearances.
