Tom Cruise Tops Forbes List of Hollywood’s Highest-Paid Actors (PHOTOS)
The magazine reveals that Cruise earned nearly twice as much as his closest competitors, Leonardo DiCaprio and Adam Sandler.
Forbes estimates that the Rock of Ages star earned $75 million US between May 2011 and May 2012, compared to $37 million US each for DiCaprio and Sandler.

In compiling this yearly list, Forbes considers factors such as upfront pay, profit participation, residuals, endorsements and advertising work.
The ranking was released Tuesday on Cruise’s 50th birthday (July 3) and just days after news emerged that his third wife, actress Katie Holmes, has filed for divorce.
She is seeking sole custody of her 6-year-old daughter, Suri, with a source noting, “She felt she had to get out to save her daughter.”
