Though the “Boyfriend” singer was recently slapped with reckless driving citation on the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles, it wasn’t his first time being stopped by the traffic cops.

In fact, Bieber, 18, has already had multiple run-ins with the police in the past few years.

Most recently, the pop sensation was pulled over near Vineland Avenue and Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, Calif.

According to reports, Bieber had been going well over the speed limit while weaving in and out of traffic in his $100,000 Fisker Karma on Friday morning.

L.A. City Councilman Dennis Zine, who saw Bieber in action, said of the star’s driving:

Bieber was driving like a maniac. He was weaving in and out of traffic. There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane. If I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving. I was going 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship. He was a maniac.

However, the singer’s manager Scooter Braun said Zine “is just a councilman looking for a headline” and that Bieber was going 80 mph in an effort to shake the paparazzi.

Bieber is already under investigation after attacking a paparazzo at the Commons at Calabasas Shopping Center in May. The tween heartthrob allegedly got fed up with the photographer — who Celebuzz identified as Jose Sarros — and struck him in the face in front of girlfriend Selena Gomez, 19.

“The case was just passed off to the D.A.’s office … it is up to the D.A. if they press charges,” Nicole Nishida, a sheriff’s public information officer, confirmed to Celebuzz regarding the investigation.
