Instead, we’ve watched as Las Vegas showgirl Michelle (Sutton Foster) loses her husband of about two days to find herself owning his house and inheriting his ballet instructor mother, Fanny (Kelly Bishop).
Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, the woman behind Gilmore Girls, Bunheads will begin to feature its young dancers more.
What can we expect from Bunheads’ next episode?
“It’s all about the Joffrey audition,” Kaitlyn Jenkins, who plays Boo, tells reporters during a visit to the Hollywood set. On Monday’s episode, the Joffrey ballet auditions are scheduled to come through town and Jenkins’ character feels she needs to be prepared this year.
“There’s actually no dancing in this episode, but it’s a really good plot,” Jenkins, 20, continues. “Amy’s husband wrote this episode. He did such a good job and you really get to see Boo and Sasha mature in this episode. And you get to see Boo’s passion and how dedicated she become, obsessed almost.”
Anyone else have a feeling that Boo is going to go overboard?
“I think a lot of girls will be able to relate to Boo — especially in this episode,” she teases. “All of that stuff dancers go through mentally like crash diets and stuff, it’s not necessarily really important and you find out in the end that you don’t have to be stick skinny to be a beautiful dancer.”
