'Grey's Anatomy' Star Sara Ramirez Marries Longtime Boyfriend
The Mexican-born actress was married to her longtime beau in a small New York ceremony last Wednesday.
A rep tells Celebuzz:
"On July 4th 2012, after a year long engagement, Sara Ramirez and Ryan Debolt were married in an intimate ceremony in New York," the rep wrote in an email. "The private event was attended by close family and friends."
Debolt popped the question to Ramirez, 36, last July in Paris. A bystander described the scene to Us Weekly last year: "He opened a case, and we just heard her saying, 'Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my god,' and seconds later, a really big 'Yes!'"
Ramirez, who plays Dr. Callie Torres on the ABC series, won a Tony in 2005 for her role in Monty Python’s Spamalot before joining the Grey's cast the following year. In February, she told Parade her new husband works as a business analyst, and that the couple met at an "after-after party."
"It was soul mates at first sight," Ramirez said. "When you’re not looking, that’s when it happens. It was refreshing for both of us to encounter a grown-up!"
