THE BURNING BABY QUESTION: WHY THE NAME?

What's in a name?

Kourtney Kardashian welcomed her fight daughter on July 8 -- and named the 7 pounds, 14 ounces bundle of joy Penelope Scotland.

Though it would be easy to suspect the moniker is an ode to the baby's father Scott Disick -- i.e. Scot(land) -- it wasn't.

Penelope's grandmother, Kris Jenner, dished about how it all came about: the now-parents-of-two simply thought the name was cute, while Scotland was the suggestion of Jenner's mom.

The 33-year-old star of E!'s Keeping up with the Kardashians isn't the first celeb to be inspired by a geographical location.

Who are some other stars who broke out a map instead of a baby name book?

Recently, 28-year-old Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky, 33, named their little girl India Rose.

In an interview, The Avengers star explained the choice.

"It was just a name we liked," he said. "I always kind of liked Indie or Indiana for a boy and she liked India. We sort of went, 'Oh well, whether it's a boy or girl, that will decide.' It just seemed to fit."
