Miley Cyrus’ Tattoo Timeline: What Are the Meanings Behind Her Ink? (PHOTOS)
If there's one thing Miley Cyrus loves more than her fiance Liam Hemsworth, it's getting tattooed.
On Tuesday, the 19-year-old pop star showed off her latest ink while leaving Pilates class in Studio City, Calif. (According to PEOPLE, the tattoo is a quote from a 1910 speech by President Theodore Roosevelt, called 'Citizenship in a Republic.')
Though Cyrus has upwards of 15 tattoos, the reasoning behind them seem to have special meaning to her.
Where are Cyrus' many tattoos located? And why exactly did she get them?
One of the first tattoos Cyrus got at the age of 16 was the phrase "just breathe," on her rib cage. The singer-actress dedicated the tattoo to a family friend who suffers from cystic fibrosis.
Miley then followed up with some smaller tattoos, including an anchor on her pinky and the word “love” on her inner ear.
Later, she got one of her largest ones to date — a dream catcher on the right-hand side of her rib cage.
All in all, the bride-to-be has a lot of ink on her. In light of this, Celebuzz has pulled together a gallery of her many tattoos -- what they say and more importantly what they mean to the young Hollywood starlet.
