Elisabetta Canalis Plays Hot Dog in New PETA Ad (VIDEO)
George Clooney's ex Elisabetta Canalis gets hot and bothered in the latest ad campaign for animal right's organization, PETA.
Warning dog owners about the dangers of leaving pets in parked cars, the Italian model asks: "Would you lock your dog in the car while you ran a quick errand?" In the hard-hitting TV spot, she wakes up to discover that she has been trapped in a locked car on a hot summer's day and endures the panic and pain that a dog feels when left in a hot car—even with the windows open a crack.

Canalis has been an avid spokes model for PETA, even posing for a steamy anti-fur ad, in which she proudly declares that she'd rather go naked than wear fur.
The brunette beauty stripped down to help spread the word about the cruelty involved in fur.
"I decided to go nude because I think that nudity always creates a big reaction," she said in a statement back in 2011.
"That is what is required to keep people's attention on such a brutal practice... These poor animals are electrocuted, skinned alive, drowned, and bludgeoned just for the sake of fashion."
