Kristin Chenoweth Released From Hospital Following Accident On Set Of 'The Good Wife'
Broadway darling Kristin Chenoweth has been released from the hospital after sustaining a head injury on the set of The Good Wife Wednesday afternoon.
The Glee actress was hit by a piece of lighting equipment when a strong gust of wind toppled the scaffolding on the Brooklyn, NY, set of the CBS legal drama.
"Kristin has been released from the hospital and is home recovering. She thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes,” Chenoweth's rep told Celebuzz.
Terrified witnesses said they feared the worst after the 43-year-old was felled by the equipment.
“It happened so fast, so obviously there was no time to waste,” witness, Valeriu Critac, told the New York Post.
Critac called 911 and rushed to the actress' side:
“There was a little blood on the sidewalk. She wasn’t moving. I looked at her and she had her eyes closed.”
Another witness told TMZ they thought the pint-sized star was dead.
"I thought she was dead at first," the unnamed witness said.
“(She was) knocked out cold.”
Photographs of the accident scene show a conscious Chenoweth clutching a friend's hand as she is loaded into an ambulance wearing a full head and neck brace.
This is not the first time the Wicked actress has been hurt on set.
She injured her neck during the musical in 2003, fell off a stage in 2006 and, in 2011, injured her back on the set of Glee when she tumbled down a set of concrete stairs.
