Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus’ Growing Doggy Family (PHOTOS)
Despite only just getting engaged to her 22-year-old Hunger Games beau last month, Cyrus, 19, happily shows off the other males in her life on her Twitter almost every day.
But the “Party in the U.S.A” singer’s Australian fiancé needn’t be jealous, as the other boys in her life are…dogs.
And she certainly has a lot of them.
An avid supporter of animal charities, Cyrus is fast becoming a one-woman animal shelter; she took in two rescue dogs this year alone. Today, she and Hemsworth share their Studio City, Calif., home with a total of five pups — three male and two female.
“Meet the newest addition to our family Mary Jane,” she posted. “I love rescuing.”
Just two weeks before, she brought home a tiny Rottweiler-beagle mix puppy that had been abandoned outside a Wal-Mart store.
Also a part of the doggy clan: Cyrus’ constant jogging companion Floyd, an Alaskan Klee Kai, and Lila, a Yorkshire terrier and the oldest lady of the bunch.
An insider told Celebuzz that all five dogs are an integral part of Hemsworth and Cyrus’ relationship.
“Miley is a homebody,” said the insider. “They are a little family — that is why she would have loved that Liam got down on one knee just at home with the dogs.”
After dating since 2009 — they met on the set of their film The Last Song — the Australian actor proposed to his pop star girlfriend on May 31 with a 3.5-carat diamond ring from jeweler Neil Lane.
