Comic-Con 2012: ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ Star Michelle Williams Would ‘Happily’ Do ‘Dawson’s Creek’ Reunion (PHOTOS)
“I would very happily do a reunion show,” the 32-year-old actress said, referring to the show that launched her career in the late ’90s.
“I don’t know what it would be; my character died in the end,” she added. “There are some limitations for me. I don’t know if I’d come back as a ghost … I would love to [do it]. I think independently we’ve all kind of been saying that. I hope at some point it does happen.”
Williams was joined on the panel by her Oz co-star, Mila Kunis, and the film’s director, Sam Raimi, the latter of whom admitted to having never seen an episode of Dawson’s Creek.
The slip-up occurred when Raimi was pitched the idea of actually directing the Dawson’s reunion.
“Yeah let’s do it! You’re the fan favorite right? You and Katie Holmes?” Raimi responded.
Williams replied, “Fan favorite?”
Raimi then said, “Kids love you in that. I never saw Dawson’s Creek.'”
According to Williams, Oz is the first film she’s made that little Matilda is “excited” to see.
“This certainly is the one she is most excited about that I’ve ever been involved in. She spent six or seven months on this set. She came to visit every day, there was a little playground for her, there was a little chair for her.”
Added Kunis: “She is the sweetest girl on the planet, you guys. You have no idea. She is a wonderful child to be near. She really is.” Raimi agreed, “She’s an angel.”
Williams is currently dating How I Met Your Mother co-star Jason Segel, who was photographed taking Matilda for a stroll in New York on Wednesday.
And speaking of dating: Kunis was later put in the hot seat during the panel discussion, when a reporter asked how much “fantasy’ has been published about her personal life.
“Oh! A lot. [everyone laughs]. I have a very exciting personal life in the public’s eye. Yeah, a lot,” said Kunis, who is rumored to be dating her That ’70s Show co-star Ashton Kutcher.
