Jennifer Lopez Exits ‘American Idol': 5 Of the Singer's Performances From the Show (VIDEOS)
Jennifer Lopez won't be around for American Idol's 13th season, but she did manage to relaunch her music career during her time on the hit show.
On Friday July 13, the 42-year-old singer/actress confirmed on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS FM radio show that she would not be coming back to FOX's singing competition.
"I honestly feel like that the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do that I’ve put, kind of, on hold, because I love Idol so much … I feel like we had an amazing run."
Since joining the program in 2011, Lopez has topped the charts with her track "On the Floor" -- the video for the song has over 500 million views on YouTube -- and later this month, she will be releasing her first greatest hits album titled, Dance Again...The Hits on July 24, also her 43rd birthday.
With news of her moving on, Celebuzz found some of her best performances during her time on Idol.
One of the first times Lopez took the Idol stage was on the Season 10 finale in 2011, with her then husband, Marc Anthony.
Lopez also debuted her now hit song "On the Floor" during season 10.
During the Season 11 Top 4 results show, Lopez debuted yet another single, "Dance Again."
On the Season 11 finale in 2012, Lopez joined the boricua reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel to belt out the tune, "Follow the Leader."
In yet another performance from the Season 11 finale, Lopez debuted her newest single, "Goin' In."
