‘The Voice’s’ Adam Levine Taps Mary J. Blige as Mentor
"I love Adam, he's amazing,” the Grammy-winning soul singer tells Rolling Stone. “I'm so happy to be working with him and his team.”
The Maroon 5 frontman shares in Blige’s enthusiasm. "I've always been a huge fan of Mary J. Blige," he says. "So it's been great having her on The Voice as an adviser to my team."
Who else is mentoring?
She joins some talented company. Last week, it was announced that retro-style crooner Michael Buble is serving as country singing judge Blake Shelton’s adviser. And last season, Alanis Morrisette and current Duets judge Robin Thicke mentored Team Adam.
Assuming they go with two mentors for each coach again and since no one has been revealed for Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green, that means there may be as many as six more mentors announced.Blige, 41, has won nine Grammy awards, four American Music Awards and has eight multi-platinum albums under her belt. Nice nab, Adam!
The Voice returns Sept. 10 to NBC.
