Disney Sets Release Date for Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln’: Daniel Day-Lewis is Honest Abe (PHOTOS)

The world will get their chance to see Daniel Day-Lewis fill the “tall” shoes of President Abraham Lincoln this November, it has been revealed.

Disney today announced the the cinema treatment of the famous president will be released November 16.

Day-Lewis, 55, is not the only celeb to have played the leader of America, find out who after the jump.

Many other celebrities have also played a president in movies and television and not all have been as serious as Day-Lewis’ rendition has been rumored to be.

Will Ferrell played George W. Bush on Saturday Night Live and Charlie Sheen is set to play the president in a Machete sequel.

The new biographical drama, Lincoln, is directed by the iconic Steven Spielberg and will star Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln as well as Joseph Gordon-Levitt and James Spader.

However, while the There Will Be Blood is sure to get Oscar buzz, his Abe probably won’t be as kick ass as Benjamin Walker’s vampire-slaying Lincoln in Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which is in theatre’s now.
