Emmy Nominations 2012: Alec Baldwin, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Nicole Kidman, More Stars React (PHOTOS)

Thursday morning, members of the TV industry woke up early to hear if their hard work over the past year had impressed enough Academy members to get a stab at a Primetime Emmy.

As soon as the nominations were announced, Celebuzz was slammed with nominees expressing what the honor meant to them.

What did the stars have to say about their nominations?

Some were short and simple, such as Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for 30 Rock nominee Alec Baldwin who said, “As the show enters its last season, I'm gratified to be nominated again by the Academy."

Others were humorous. "I'm thrilled to be included amongst one of Modern Family's 14 Emmy Nominations! I am celebrating with 10 georgous, tall, leggy showgirls.” Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series nominee for Modern Family, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, exclaimed.

“Not because that's how I roll, but because I'm in rehearsal for The Producers at The Hollywood Bowl,” he continues. “Also, because I like to make Eric Stonestreet jealous."

Nicole Kidman wanted to spread the wealth of her Lead Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries nom for HBO’s Hemingway & Gelhorn.

. It is a true acknowledgment of Martha Gelhorn's life and amazing work. Discovering and playing her, under the guidance and passion of the great Phil Kaufman, was a joy and a privilege."
